1. URGENT RENEWAL OF SANC LICENCES FOR 2021

MHR urges all nursing panel members to please pay your South African Nursing Council (SANC) renewal fees as soon as possible, at least a week before the deadline on Thursday, 31 December 2020. This will allow SANC enough time to update your licence details before the deadline.

Kindly submit a copy of your renewed licence to your local MHR office, or email a copy to your region’s admin email address below:

Omission to submit a copy of your renewed licence may result in the temporary deactivation of your profile on our system. The council also charges costly restoration fees for late payments. See the SANC fees for 2021 below inclusive of 15% VAT. NB: To qualify for the discounted amounts specified below, SANC may request you to submit a certified copy of your identity document to SANC in order to confirm your age.

2. INDEMNITY INSURANCE COVER REQUIRED IF YOU WORK AT NON-MEDICLINIC AND NON-ER24 CLIENTS

An urgent call is made to all healthcare panel members working at non-Mediclinic and non-ER24 clients (including frail care workers) to please ensure that you take out your own indemnity insurance cover from a service provider of your choice and submit proof of cover to your local MHR office. MHR thanks the healthcare panel members who have already taken out cover.

All healthcare panel members (excluding Emergency Centre Doctors) working at Mediclinic or ER24 clients do not require indemnity insurance as the client’s insurance covers you.

3. NB: REMEMBER TO UPDATE YOUR MHR PROFILE

3.1 Personal information changes

Please contact your local MHR office and not the client if any of your personal information changes as indicated below:

  • Cell phone or home/work landline number
  • Email address
  • Residential or postal address
  • Marital status
  • Additional qualifications
  • Banking details
  • Next of kin for emergency contact reasons

  • Day duty: Preferably the previous night, but not later than 2½ hours before the shift commences

Please consult your nearest MHR office should you require more information.

We have 11 official languages in South Africa, a broad variety of religious perspectives, and many cultures that have evolved with international influences. Our nation is creating a unique heritage for future generations.

When we work together, individuality comes together to add unique value to what we do. We thank each and every personnel member for their distinct contribution.
